At Ardverikie Estate.
This was taken a long time ago. It was May 2014 if I remember correctly, on a family holiday in Scotland.
You may recognise the castle behind me. It’s Ardverikie, which doubled up as Glenbogle in the TV series Monarch of the Glen. It’s one of my favourites, even after all these years, and it was magical to see some of the locations even though I have to admit that everything looked so different in real life!
The estate itself is private, but they rent holiday cottages, which is how you can get to have a proper look at the gorgeous house on the outside. Needless to say, even if you are staying, please respect the owners’ privacy.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live in a place like that?
