My dad was over recently. Whenever he is in Ireland, we like to go exploring.
One place we visited was Banada Abbey. It’s only about 20 minutes from my house, and I had wanted to visit it for some time but never got around to it. They often host Halloween events, and it’s currently for sale - great if you have €675,000!
It’s a fabulous property, and walking around it, we couldn’t help thinking what a beautiful hotel it would make. Stunning grounds, close to a village with amenities, not far from an airport, and such a history. It’s in a state of disrepair at the moment. We could have walked into parts of the building, but we were afraid to because it might actually collapse on you - or at least something might fall on your head.
