I was disgusted to see this along our road, where I walk almost daily with the dogs.
That old building is always there, sadly falling apart. It stands where the road crosses an old railway track, which is tarmacked over. It was the littering that got me.
Yes, waste collection fees are expensive, but that doesn’t mean people can just dump their garbage wherever they want!
I reported this to Sligo County Council, and the day after, the rubbish was removed and a new warning sign and CCTV in place. I’m not saying it was my report that caused this, but I’m glad to see that this is being taken seriously.
