You have probably learned by now that I don’t listen to many female singers. It’s a personal preference; I don’t like female voices.
I have absolutely no problem with women singing, but nobody can make me like their voices. There are some I tolerate, but mostly, I find female voices too screechy. I’m not going to apologise or make excuses for it. I find many male voices irritating too.
Garbage is one female-fronted band I like. Shirley Manson’s voice doesn’t annoy me, and she has an adorable Scottish accent. So, you see, I don’t dislike female singers on principle. It’s just unfortunate that most female voices aren’t more pleasing to my ears.
