I had a day off today - a left-over holiday from when I thought I was going to the postponed Slam Dunk festival. Still, it’s nice to take an extra day off and enjoy a three-day weekend!
I loaded the dogs into the car and took them for a walk on a bog road just a few minutes from where I live. I decided to drive back a different route. It ended up being very different as I ended up on roads I had never seen before. I wasn’t lost because I could see home at the bottom of the mountain more or less all the time, but I wasn’t sure which turn would bring me closer…
Home.
No harm done though. I enjoy a drive on a clear day when I have time and enough petrol in the tank!
It’s on days like this that I realise how lucky I am to live here.
